Tax Accountant Certified Public Accountant

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Client Associate Tax Accountant

Supervise and perform accounting duties for our clients in a dedicated and professional manner. Manage client satisfaction and service.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience preparing tax returns for entities and individuals
• UltraTax experience preferred

Duties

• Oversee bank reconciliations and other monthly financial and quarterly services using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks online, and client’s proprietary systems when needed.

• Ensure accuracy and consistency in coding of all transactions.

• Identify issues in client accounting systems and prepare correcting journal entries and instructions for clients.

• Create adjusting journal entries for accruals, depreciation, and other period end items.

• Identify opportunities for improvements in quality or efficiency of procedures, ensuring automation whenever possible.

• Master QuickBooks Online and related apps to allow for assistance to our clients with their programs.

• Assist clients with their QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks desktop questions.

• Prepare tax planning projections and benchmarking reports.

• Oversee preparation of 1099’s at year-end, sales tax reports, business property tax returns, and payroll tax filings as needed.

• Prepare high-level 1040’s and entity tax returns.

• Use excellent time management and communication skills to ensure the team’s success.

• Return client phone calls within 24 hours, whenever possible.

• Serve each client so well they never want to leave and they refer others – create raving fans!
