We are seeking a skilled Site Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites or similar environments. As a Site Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and other machinery to facilitate site preparation, earthmoving, and construction activities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Safely transport materials, load and unload trucks, and move materials around the site as needed.
- Assist with site preparation, including grading, excavation, and leveling.
- Operate equipment to perform tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, and compacting soil.
- Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient execution of tasks.
- Communicate with supervisors, team members, and other contractors to coordinate work and ensure safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment storage areas and maintenance facilities.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and best practices to minimize impact on surrounding areas.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications or licenses may be required.
