Video Content Specialist

Job Summary: The Video Content Specialist position is a remote role. The Video Content Specialist will assist with creating engaging and impactful training materials and be passionate about simplifying complex concepts and bringing them to life through video.

The Video Content Specialist will specialize in duties that include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with software developers and product managers to gain a deep understanding of our software products and their functionalities
• Collaborate with the Training Team to understand training requirements
• Translate technical specifications and user documentation into engaging and accessible video content that caters to diverse learning styles and audiences
• Ensure all projects are ADA compliant
• Plan, script, and storyboard training videos to effectively communicate key concepts and procedures
• Produce high-quality video content using a combination of screen recording, voice-over narration, graphics, and animations
• Stay informed about changes and updates to our software products and proactively update training materials to reflect new features, enhancements, and best practices
• Edit and enhance video footage to ensure clarity, coherence, and professionalism
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve training materials
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and video production
• Work with Training Team to develop sophisticated, effective learning tools for internal and external clients

Work Experience / Knowledge:

• Proven experience creating instructional videos or e-learning content, preferably in the software sector
• Proficiency with video editing software and screen recording tools, including Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Articulate Storyline, and/or comparable products
• Experience working with ADA guidelines and standards (captioning, contrast, document formatting for transcripts)
• Strong scriptwriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and engaging content
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual design
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the company
• Time management, organizational skills, and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as a team
• Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule, which may include after hours, on occasion

Qualifications / Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia Production, Digital Media, or a similar discipline, or a combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field
• Articulate Storyline and Adobe Premiere experience preferred
