Job Description:
Responsibilities:
System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor the performance and health of servers, networks, and other IT systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patch management, and backups.
User Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems reported by users in a timely manner.
User Account Management:
- Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems and applications.
- Create, modify, and disable user accounts as per established procedures.
Software Installation and Configuration:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of software applications and updates.
- Ensure that software installations adhere to licensing requirements and security policies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Prepare regular reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and user support requests.
Security Compliance:
- Assist in implementing security measures and protocols to protect IT systems and data.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaboration and Learning:
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and projects.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Associate) are a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools for hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of common productivity software applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Exposure to basic scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is desirable but not required.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze issues and identify solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Customer Service Orientation: Customer-focused attitude with a willingness to provide quality support and assistance to end-users.
