FULFILLMENT ASSOCIATE

What You'll Do

As a fulfillment associate, you will play a crucial role in the operational efficiency of Madwell's distribution center by accurately processing customer orders, picking and packing items, and ensuring timely shipment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Order Processing: Receive incoming orders via computer systems or other platforms, review orders for accuracy, and process them for shipping.
  • Picking and Packing: Locating items within the warehouse using picking lists or handheld scanners, pick the items from shelves or bins, and pack them securely for shipping. This may involve wrapping items, boxing them, or using other packaging materials as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting items for any defects or damages before packing them for shipment. Ensuring that the correct items and quantities are being packed according to the order.
  • Inventory Management: Keeping track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to supervisors. Assisting with periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Preparing packages for shipment by affixing labels, arranging for carrier pickups, or delivering packages to shipping carriers. Receiving incoming shipments, verify contents against packing lists, and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Organization and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including shelving units, packing stations, and storage areas.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with other Madwell employees to complete tasks efficiently. Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Customer Service: Handling customer inquiries or concerns regarding orders, shipping, or product availability. Providing assistance and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Following company policies and procedures for order processing, safety protocols, and quality standards. Seeking clarification from supervisors if unsure about any procedures.
  • Flexibility: Adapting to changes in workflow, such as increased order volumes or special shipping requirements. Be willing to cross-train in different areas of Madwell as needed.

Our Must-Haves
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
