About the Role:

The Vice President of People Operations will be a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations within the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the VP of People Operations will play a pivotal role in driving HR initiatives, policies, and processes to support the company's overall mission and objectives. This individual will lead a team of HR professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality HR services and solutions that align with business goals. This role reports to the Chief People Officer.

The Details: This is a remote opportunity, with the ability to be located across the country. Will need easy access to flight travel for the role ( >25 trips per year).

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing HR operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize employee experience, engagement, and productivity
  • Overseeing the full spectrum of HR operations, including but not limited to compensation and benefits administration, HRIS management (to likely include a Workday implementation), compliance, and legal matters
  • Leading and mentoring a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and growth
  • Partnering closely with senior leadership to understand business objectives and workforce needs, and providing strategic HR guidance and support
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline HR processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
  • Collaborating with VP, Colleague Relations on employee disputes and resolution
  • Establishing job architecture and taxonomy for consistency in pulling distribution lists for internal communications
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters, conflict resolution, and employee development
  • Monitoring HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in HR operations, and proactively recommending innovative solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations, with a proven trac record of implementing successful HR programs and initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of Workday as an HRIS system

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing HR operations
