Maintenance II

Primary Responsibility / Summary

Maintenance II (Sac, V2) will possess proven experience in industrial maintenance, with focus on semi-complex troubleshooting and repairs. This person needs to have intermediate –level welding skills and be capable of executing welding tasks with efficiency. Also needs to assist higher level mechanics in more complex repair tasks. Needs intermediate level of electrical skills (ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics).

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime may be required, including weekends. Must walk on concrete floors while wearing appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Perform intermediate level-welding tasks, including but not limited to MIG, TIG and stick welding.

· Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate welding techniques and equipment.

· Assist in Basic repairs (Mechanical and Electrical). Work alongside experienced maintenance staff to learn and perform basic repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery, changing filters and inspecting equipment for signs of wear or damage.

· Execute repairs and preventive maintenance tasks of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions to determine the root cause and implement effective solutions.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including tasks performed, materials used, and time spent on each assignment.

· Provide regular updates on completed tasks and ongoing projects to supervisors and team members.

· Actively participate in training programs and seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in maintenance practices.

· Keep work areas clean and organized.

· Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.

· Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

· Perform other tasks as needed.

· Review and sign Job Hazard Analysis form with supervisor before working at a work center

Education & Experience

· Prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment

· Certification or training in welding techniques

· Proven experience in intermediate-level welding.

· Previous experience in industrial maintenance and repair.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints (Electrical and Mechanic) and technical manuals.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to use a measuring tape and other measuring devices used by maintenance personnel.

· Strong attention to detail and quality control.

· Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets and deadlines.

· Strong work ethic and a desire to work with a dynamic manufacturing company.
