Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk/Admin. Assistant at Music City Recon will be responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the company's finance department. This individual will be an integral part of the team, responsible for managing the accounts receivable function and providing administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Nashville, Tennessee, and reports directly to the Company Controller.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation range of $18 to $22 per hour. Employees will be paid biweekly and will be eligible for company benefits, including healthcare, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment postings, and collections
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on delinquent payments
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly accounts receivable reports
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Assist in maintaining and updating customer records
- Process credit card payments and refunds
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and answering phone calls
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies
- Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable and/or administrative roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Prior experience in the auto industry is preferred but not required
