General Winery Worker

Description:

The General Winery Worker will assist in all phases of winemaking process, as well as care, maintenance, and sanitation of all equipment and facilities.

• Must read and understand work orders
• Able to gauge tanks accurately
• Fortify new wines
• Must understand and obey all safety and work rules
• Draw off fresh crush (fc)
• Draw off wash #1 (w#1)
• Water back fresh crush pomace
• Yeast tanks
• Sluice pomace from tanks
• Pump material to distilling material tanks as per work orders
• Circulate tanks of pomace
• Clean up and sanitize equipment
• Load trucks as per requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to two years’ experience in wine or related industry preferred
• Food Processing experience preferred
• Ability to work any shift 7 days a week
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to adhere to companies’ 4 core standards
