Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in industrial maintenance and electrical work.

General Position Summary

This position is responsible for the electrical maintenance and repair on the plant equipment and facility. Assist supervisors in leading a team of Plant engineering and Maintenance employees to maintain facilities. Able to work safely and lead a crew, work closely with Supervisor to achieve safety, quality and production goals. Duties include scheduling and maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing plant machinery, installing and commissioning new machinery, performing scheduled maintenance and identifying preventive maintenance requirements. Ability to write clear, concise reports of daily production and other conditions that affect the operation of the equipment; perform work in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and report potentially dangerous situations to appropriate personnel. In addition, this position is required to evaluate and identify electrical component stocking requirements.

Essential Job Functions

Electrician Operation - 65%

· Adhere to company health and safety standards.

· Follow the established policies, rules and regulations and procedures.

· Qualified as Journeyman Level manufacturing plant electrician.

· Read electrical blueprints and schematic drawings.

· Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems.

· Responsible for implementing new machine installations and related repairs/adjustment and for maintenance, read down and rebuild.

· Troubleshoot about this company’s electronics.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with proper precautions.

· Complete work orders on time.

· Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times.

· Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use computer programs

· Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.

· Reports all irregular issues and problems to manager for solution.

Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members, co-workers, and outside contacts
