Focus is on supporting Testing, Calibration and Repairs under the direction of the Test Lab Manager. Performs a variety
of tasks including standard ESD materials testing and documentation of results, calibration and certification
documentation, repairs and trouble shooting and repair of equipment using a variety of hand, power tools, and test
equipment. Focus is on high quality, on-time completion of testing, calibrations, and repairs consistent with goals and
customer commitments. Support the implementation and on-going achievement of standards, procedures, and
requirements. May support customer communications under the direction of Testing and Services Lead. May handle
special projects or short-term assignments supporting other functional areas including production assembly and
engineering prototyping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Testing and Calibration of ESD and Environmental products and materials using test instruments such as multimeters,
- probes, oscilloscopes, and other test instrumentation.
- Testing, Calibration and Repair are completed correctly, and on-time SLA metrics are met or surpassed.
- Support continuous improvement culture by ensuring processes are effective, in compliance with ISO 17025, aligned
- with customer requirements, and coordinated in a collaborative manner.
- Provide feedback regarding issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Champion and support 5S, Quality, Safety, Procedure and Work Instruction improvement, and overall efficiencies.
- Execute changes in the CAR processes, escalate challenges, collaborate with Engineering and support team cross
- training.
- Promote positive team culture and provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members
- Coordinate and support activities that respond to customer needs/requests, including the receiving/shipping process
- and related procedures.
- Responsible for analyzing and implementing actions to improve the risk associated with laboratory activities that have
- been accepted by the Lab Manager.
- Understands and applies concepts of current company mission, beliefs and values, objectives and strategy
- statements to accomplish specific agreed upon goals
- Collaborate with Engineering to improve ETS product reliability and performance based on inhouse use and customer
- feedback.
- Support team cross training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but lab services leadership and procedure ownership is
expected.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree highly preferred or work equivalent with electronics standards and configuration knowledge
Min of 3 years of related manufacturing experience highly preferred; previous problem solving and root cause
experience highly preferred
Ability to function independently and make logical, sound decisions
Understand resistance and dissipative materials as well as Static Decay, write related reports
Basic understanding of wiring, crimping, wire harnessing, ESD and environmental chamber builds.
High level of ability to use and teach others: hand tools (crimpers/strippers etc.), measurement tools (calipers, scales,
rulers), basic machining knowledge and hand soldering skills highly preferred
Must have a basic understanding of Digital Multimeter (DMM a.k.a. Voltage and Resistance meter), a Capacitance
Meter, and a frequency counter highly preferred
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/schematics, test procedures, ANSI/ESDA/ISO standards, and
assembly and calibration instructions.
Understanding of ESD (electro-static discharge) handling requirements highly preferred
Understanding of ISO/AS9100 and developing work instructions in a Lean manufacturing context is helpful
Ability to develop, manage and successfully execute projects highly preferred; strong organizational skills
Focus on efficient but high-quality work is required; responsible for maintaining coordination with quality champions
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations of a dynamic manufacturing environment
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers,
employees, and management
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other applicable applications highly preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret basic assembly instructions; can read engineering drawings/schematics
Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and management
Ability to speak with customers; multiple customer contact channels including email and phone
MATHEMATICS
Ability to accurately complete and record measurements with various measuring equipment and tools.
Must be able to do basic math through fractions/decimal and calculating basic statistics (e.g. average) to effectively
complete testing and calibration instructions
REASONING ABILITY
Good problem solving skills are required. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished verbally, within written
documentation and within standards application such as but no limited to UL standards,
Ability to apply sound judgement to resolve issues as it applies to basic assembly and complex assembly issues.

exposure to moderate or loud noise when in production and inventory areas.
This position does not require any consistent travel; less than 5% of time spent in a customer or alternate location.
This position does not require any consistent driving or handling of a fork lift or an automobile.
