Job Description
Full Time Registered Nurse with Chemotherapy Bio Cert.
The Registered Nurse (RN) with Chemotherapy Bio Certification is responsible for providing direct patient care in a chemotherapy setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, as well as coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team. The RN will also be responsible for educating patients and their families about chemotherapy and its side effects.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of employment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university
- Chemotherapy Bio Certification
- BLS AHA certification
- One year of experience in a clinical setting
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a chemotherapy setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families about chemotherapy and its side effects
- Administer chemotherapy drugs
- Monitor patients for side effects of chemotherapy
- Document patient care in the medical record
