Salary:  $65K- 95K with incentives

Job Description

Omitron, Inc. is looking for a technical recruiting specialist to manage job vacancy postings, screen, shortlist, and interview candidates in a highly technical industry with niche positions. In this role, you will develop and post job descriptions for the Omitron website and utilize social media platforms and recruitment sites like LinkedIn, indeed.com, clearancejobs.com to identify qualified applicants. As the Technical Recruiter, you will analyze the current recruitment process and make recommendations for improvements or changes.

To ensure success as a recruiting specialist, you should be conversant with a wide range of recruiting techniques and platforms for job postings and will keep track of the applicants through the hiring process. Using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), compile hiring metrics and report on various aspects of the hiring process including EEO/AA compliance internally. A top-notch recruiting specialist will have in-depth knowledge of relevant labor laws, compliance requirements for government contractors, and a comprehensive understanding of current hiring trends.

Recruiting Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Discussing and establishing qualification requirements and terms and conditions of employment with hiring managers.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers and senior leaders to formulate detailed job descriptions and posting them.
  • Conducting phone screenings or video meetings to create a shortlist of qualified candidates.
  • Interviewing candidates on the shortlist and maintaining a database on employees for future vacancies.
  • Mediating between candidates, hiring managers and HR.
  • Using web-based technology and social media to assess hiring trends, post job vacancies, and following up with candidates during the hiring process.
  • Evaluating internal reports to develop effective hiring plans and strategies.
  • Assess the results of candidate data and job placements metrics with the ATS and other HR Information Systems.
  • Assess and utilize HR policies ensuring that fair and equal employment practices are effective
  • Analyzing recruitment software and the performance of recruitment agencies and recommending improvements or changes.

Recruiting Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, I/O psychology, or another related field or 4 or more years of recruiting experience in a highly technical industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a recruiting specialist with a track record of employee placement in cleared and niche positions
  • The ability to work within a mixed level management team and coordinate team activities
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to examine resumes and identify the best-suited candidates.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that are professional, persuasive, and charismatic
  • Establish themselves as an expert with confident and capable leadership qualities to communicate with co-workers, multi- level management and business customers to provide accurate information and overcome objections
  • Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment.
  • In-depth knowledge of hiring strategies, labor laws, and employment equity.
  • The ability to evaluate recruiting software and applicant sourcing methods and make recommendations for effective change where necessary
  • Desired:  Experience using clearancejobs.com, hosting job fair initiatives, and experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
