Lab Technician

Associated Materials is looking for an experienced Lab Technician who would be responsible to support our R&D functions in our Vinyl Extrusion facility in West Salem Oh..

A level of detail for the work includes but is not limited to…

• Determining and performing tests needed for analysis and performance
• Recording tests and analysis and then reporting the results and conclusions
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the samples.
• Maintaining lab equipment including calibration
• Staying current on technical and scientific advances relative to the work
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of items, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required.
• Keeping lab stocked with raw materials used in plants.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

•  Attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power point.
• Understanding of electronic and computerized equipment
• Able to follow instructions and strictly follow procedures
• Bachelors or associate degree
• 3-5 years experience in a lab environment
