CPA - TAX MANAGER

Accounting and Financial back office firm specializing in working with the restaurant and hospitality industry, providing detailed financial reporting, and industry-focused operational knowledge is in need of a CPA - TAX MANAGER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 7 years of tax experience (preparing/filing).
• Managing tax advisory services, tax compliance, and tax provision.
• Managing the whole tax department.
• Tax preparation, strategy and filing for individuals and companies.
• Maintain and monitor financial records/reports and check for inaccuracies.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret financial reports.
• Participating in the proposal process for prospective clients.
• Assisting in developing, building, and managing professional client relationships.
• Ensure complete compliance with all state and federal regulations for corporate and individual (1120s, 1120c, 1065, 1040).
• Experience communicating with the IRS.
• Professionally assisting with managing, developing, and coaching tax staff.

Requirements:

• 7 Years of progressive and continuous tax experience in public accounting
• Software: Proficient with tax software, Engagement, QuickBooks, Excel and/or RIA Checkpoint required.
• Active CPA license.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Identify and implement continual process improvements.
• Strong analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate at all levels both within the client organization or firm.
