Accounting Manager

As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and oversee all financial aspects of our business. 

Job Summary: 

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. This role will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, implementing effective financial controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability. 

Responsibilities: 

Financial Reporting and Analysis: 

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 

Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making and strategic planning. 

Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management, stakeholders, and external parties as required. 

Budgeting and Forecasting: 

Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts aligned with business objectives and financial targets. 

Monitor budget performance, track actual expenses, and analyze variances to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. 

Prepare budget vs. actual reports and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed. 

Financial Operations: 

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance. 

Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures. 

Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. 

Cash Management and Treasury: 

Manage cash flow and liquidity to support ongoing operations and investment activities. 

Prepare cash flow forecasts and projections to support cash management decisions and capital allocation strategies. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred. 

Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, preferably in the construction or home services industry. 

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. 

Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 

Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
