General Production Worker

Position:  General Production

Reports To: Lead Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reliable, hardworking, dedicated individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment. Must pose a positive attitude and be willing to add to knowledge base and skills with hands-on training. This position is a critical part of the manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

     Monitor and maintain inventory of product in work station, replenish when necessary 

     Perform quality assurance checks at work station

     Assemble various parts in a pre-determined order to create final product

     Support and adhere to all safety practices and standards

     Regularly communicate with co-workers at other work stations to ensure daily / weekly goals are met

     Maintain a clean and safe work area

SKILLS & ABILITIES

     Able to use hand tools on daily basis (ex. Hand held screw & drill gun)

     Working knowledge and understanding of basic production documents (ex. Bill of materials, diagrams, etc)

     Able to interpret and carry out 1 to 2 step instruction furnished in oral, written or diagram form

     Exceptional attention to detail and self-motivation skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

     Able to stand for long periods of time with occasional kneeling, crouching, bending & twisting

     Travel from work area to other locations in the facility to gather parts

     Manual dexterity with repetitive motion

     Requires clear vision at close range and good depth perception

     Able to lift 15+ lbs on daily basis

WORKING CONDITIONS

     This is a full-time position. Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm. 40 hours per week. Occasional work on Fridays maybe required based on production needs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

     High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent related experience

     Understanding of Manufacturing processes preferred

     Mechanical assembly experience preferred
