- Client-related activities:
- Complete client intakes, assessments, orientations, service plans, and authorization requests
- Facilitate and provide the following PHP and IOP group session elements
- Individual, group, and family therapy
- Group substance use counseling
- Health literacy counseling
- Skill restoration and development
- Psychoeducational activities
- Motivational interviewing
- Enhancement and engagement strategies
- Occupational, recreational, and other therapies directly or by referral
- Case management and care coordination
- Crisis intervention
- Session documentation
- Be an advocate for clients

Accepted Qualifications:
- Credentialed Addiction Treatment Professionals with any of the following registration or license types with the appropriate Virginia Board:
- Addiction-credentialed Physician or Physician with experience or training in addiction medicine
- Physician Extenders with experience or training in addiction medicine
- Licensed Psychiatrist
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Professional Counselor
- Registered Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner
- Residents under supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner and registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling
- Residents in Psychology under supervision of a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and registered with the Virginia Board of Psychology
- Supervisees in social work under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and registered with the Virginia Board of Social Work
- A minimum of two years of experience supervising staff in a behavioral health setting
