Lead Accountant

3 months contract to hire position.

Mon.-Fri. 8am-5pm with occasional weekends required

$35.50 per hr.

Hybrid Role: 2-3 days a week in office with Tuesdays in office required!

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required/preferred experience: CPA; Audit experience, lease accounting, contract labor and inventory exposure a plus; Experience at public or larger companies better than small business due to our volumes. You will be Ensuring the accurate and timely posting of financial and statistical data to the hospitals accounting and statistical systems and to prepare and submit in a timely manner certain financial and operating reports from this financial and statistical data. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Education: Associates or Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, or a minimum 3 years experience
• Experience: 3 - 4 years experience
• Special Qualifications: Intermediate level skills in Excel, proficient in Word, 10 key by touch, and intermediate general ledger skills. Provable ability to be self-sufficient and able to complete projects with minimal guidance, able to multitask and prioritize, good communication skills; healthcare experience a plus.
