The Opportunity

Direct Digital Holdings is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team at our Headquarters location in Houston, Texas.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for month end close duties including completing journal entries and reconciliations, account analysis, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, supporting the audit, and maintaining the Company’s internal control. In addition, the Senior Accountant will also support the financial statement preparation and consolidations functions and Business Unit Controllers in monthly billing function. This is a hybrid position working four days in the office and one flexible, remote day.

Responsibilities

• Issue monthly customer invoices with guidance from the BU Controller.
• Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries for prepaid, payroll and fixed asset depreciation and amortization, ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure recorded transactions are appropriate.
• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Support monthly P&L analysis performed by Controllers including analyzing project profitability.
• Continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with external auditors.
• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary.
• Collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary.
• Partake in various Company/ Accounting wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university in Accounting or Finance is required.
• A minimum of two years of general accounting or public accounting experience is required.
• Current possession of or working towards a CPA is preferred.
• Efficient in ERP systems; experience with Oracle/NetSuite a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Observant, accurate and able to thrive under pressure.
• Understand internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Compensation

Base salary plus annual bonus and benefits.
