What is a lead tax preparer?

A Lead Tax Preparer is a tax professional responsible for overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals or organizations. They usually supervise a team of preparers, review complex returns, ensure compliance with tax laws, and provide guidance on tax strategies. In addition to preparing taxes, they may also manage client relationships, train junior staff, and stay updated on changing tax regulations.
