We are a team of 80 talented designers, craftspeople, artists, managers and engineers working hard at what we love. We service the creative, events, retail, and construction industries. We leverage our digital manufacturing technologies, manufacturing expertise, and decades of trial and error to deliver the highest quality products - an outcome unmatched. We offer our clients extensive in-house services and capabilities that allow us to take on projects at any stage of development from concept to installation.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced finish carpenter to join our install team, well versed in plastic laminate, cabinet making, and millwork. We welcome you to consider being part of our team that makes visionary installations a reality! Please note: this is not an install only position, nor is it an entry level position. If you are well-versed and want to build and install custom products, this is the place for you! Check us out at www.instagram.com/axiomcustom.

You
Are you an experienced installer or finish carpenter by trade, who also enjoys fabrication and seeks a long-term opportunity?

Our install team executes temporary and permanent installations that run the gamut; every project is different! We need someone that can utilize project specifications, drawings, and tried and true installation methods to wow our clients. We expect everyone on the team to play a part in monitoring project progress, quality and forecasting needs to complete the project on time, within budget. You are ambitious, quality conscience and enjoy working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment around folks from other trades. You are looking to take on new challenges and responsibilities and to work within a company that executes unique projects; casework, product displays, retail environments, airport kiosks, restaurants, taverns, and the list goes on.

Our installers are skilled tradespeople who have extensive experience. They have a keen ability for problem-solving and are comfortable working with a variety of materials from wood to metal to glass to plastic. If you want to hang with our team, you must be committed to learning all aspects of our processes and the "Axiom way." Feeling comfortable and confident in a role where you'll be a representation of Axiom, is critical, as you typically encounter other trades and clients onsite. An important note is that with custom products, always come questions - you have to be willing to ask questions. Being there for your team and prompt & open communication are also very important.

Travel Required + Build in the Shop in Down Time
Installs can range from days to weeks and vary from local to national. Installs require folks that are reliable and flexible. Installations are often deadline sensitive and can span the weekend and mean long, challenging days or overnight work. But, there's nothing more rewarding than nailing the finished product!

When there is downtime from installs, the installer must be willing and able to participate in other production related work such as fabrication and prepping for upcoming installs in the shop. It also means being willing to learn other skills and help wherever needed in the shop.

Some things we require;
  • Willingness to be flexible with your schedule
  • Content working in the shop and willing to cross-train in any department
  • Must be able to routinely lift materials of up to 50#
  • Comfortable working on a lift
  • General knowledge of all tools; handheld and stationary and familiarity with fasteners and adhesives is a must

The Reward
When it comes to our team, they enjoy growth opportunities, excellent pay, great benefits, including medical, dental, vision for the employee (with additional cost options for dependents). We offer 401k and ROTH investment options. After year one you accrue 20 days of PTO, yep, your read that right. Combined with paid holidays, our benefits are some of the best in our industry.
