Meat processing company looking to hire mechanics to join their team!!!
- Monday - Friday
- 2nd shift - 2:30pm - 11pm
- Must be open to work overtime & weekends as needed
Position is responsible for repairing and installing advanced production/manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs that are more complicated or adjustments as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs breakdown analysis.
- Upgrades production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology.
- Directs activities of outside contractors working on assigned line.
- Changes line for package changeovers
- Works independently under limited supervision (self-management).
- Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed on a timely basis.
- Anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies; places and expedites orders; verifies receipts.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains technical knowledge by: attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma and formal training and/or certificates in at least two of the four Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Experience with Anco Slicer, Grasseli Slicer, Multivac Packaging Machine, and Koch Cross web labeler, Vmag / Risco Stuffers.
- Advanced computer skills using MP2 or other maintenance planning software.
- Experience in electrical/electronics, PLC’s (programmable logic controls), A/C and D/C motors, drives and controls.
- Experience wiring 24V and 480V motors; and programming settings on the VFD’s for these motors.
- Knowledge of in-house equipment and machinery.
- Proficiency with electrical and mechanical system troubleshooting with a strong understanding of AC and DC voltages and mechanical power transmission systems.
- Proficiency in reading blue prints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines on short notice.
- Effective written/oral communication skills and inter-personal skills.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
