Responsibilities:
· Utilize Mastercam software to develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for a variety of complex parts.
· Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining parameters, tooling requirements, and production sequences.
· Select appropriate cutting tools and set cutting speeds and feeds to ensure efficient and high-quality machining.
· Verify and simulate CNC programs to identify potential issues and ensure program functionality before running them on machines.
· Set up CNC machines (may be required in some instances).
· Troubleshoot and resolve CNC programming and machining issues.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of CNC programs and machining processes.
· Continuously learn and improve CNC programming skills and stay current with the latest Mastercam features and techniques.
· Work collaboratively with machinists, engineers, and other departments to ensure efficient production flow.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist Programmer in a production environment. Experience with AS9100 standards a big plus.
· Proven expertise in Mastercam software, including advanced surfacing, multi-axis machining, and tool-path optimization.
· Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, G-code programming, and machining processes (milling, turning, etc.).
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
Plusses:
· Experience with SolidWorks for 3D model interpretation
· Experience with AS9100 quality standards
