Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions dictate.

Job Description

  • Assist with monthly audit through physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and count spot-checks.
  • Works with the vendors and the AP department to ensure receipts and payments are processed accurately.
  • Assist site personnel with completing Issue Tickets to standard.
  • Returns
  • Issued Stock Items
  • Pack boxes for shipping samples out; prepare shipping label information.
  • Pack Stock or Direct Items for Return to Vendor Operations; prepare shipping label information.
  • Maintain the warehouse and outlying storage areas by keeping them clean and organized.
  • Physically receive and Store new Stock Items in Bin Locations
  • Physically receive Return Stock Items and store them in Bin locations.
  • Physically relocate Stock Items from one bin to another, as needed.
  • Physically Issue Stock Items upon request
  • Physically disposition obsolete Stock Items
  • Report on Bin and quantity changes in ERP system.
  • Report when Inventory Levels at Bin Location reach zero (discrepancy with computer quantity)
  • Comply with equipment operating requirements-report repair needs to supervisor.
  • Collect, record and report data upon request.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members and employees in a professional manner.
  • Participate in group Safety, Warehouse and Management meetings, daily housekeeping tasks as required.
  • Investigate incorrect document information and correct prior to processing.
  • Works with the vendors and the AP department to ensure receipts and payments are processed accurately.
  • Report warehouse data discrepancies and make computer corrections as needed.
  • Warehouse activity data entry using computer software program(s):
  • Stock Returns
  • Stock Item Issues
  • Return to Vendor activities.
  • Received Stock activities.
  • Creates new Bin Location IDs
  • Bin Location changes
  • Update Bin and Quantity changes in ERP software, as reported.
  • Report when Inventory Levels in ERP software reach zero (and discrepancies with Bin quantity)
  • Process IS tickets.
  • Resolve IS ticket discrepancies.
  • Process obsolete Stock Items out of the ERP system.
  • Perform Warehouse Operations Specialist activities, if necessary
  • Deliver Stock and Direct Items to Departments upon request.
  • Retrieve remote Issue Tickets and receiving documents.

  • Physically receive Direct Items and move them to pickup/delivery area.
  • Investigate and resolve alternate/substitute Item options.
  • Help to identify, report, and resolve warehouse problems. Implement improvements and corrective action.
    • Maintain warehouse work area by (maximizing) floor space; Recommend Bin organization improvements with supervisor.
    • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance. Inform supervisor so he/she can schedule repair with required department.
  • Make suggestions for productivity improvements and seek ways to improve processes and workflow.
  • Secure warehouse at the end of shift
  • Participate in group Safety, Warehouse and Management meetings, daily housekeeping tasks as required.
  • Assist other team members to successfully complete their duties.
  • Perform Warehouse Data Specialist activities, if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experiences:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a Warehouse or similar role.
  • Forklift Operation Proficiency
  • Excellent organizing and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to Proficient computer and data entry skills to work within our software systems (including MS Office)
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights from data.
  • Spare parts management experience
  • Familiarity with maintenance activities
  • Knowledge of common warehouse and inventory control terms like FIFO/LIFO, ERP, JIT, Kanban, etc.
  • Ability to work overnight or weekend shifts if required.
  • Willing to work overtime and fill in for coworkers if needed.
  • Ability to physically manage inventory (move, lift, etc.)

  • Basic computer and data entry skills to work within our software systems (including MS Office familiarity)
