WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As the Café Manager, you'll work to embrace and promote the mission and culture of Oasis while operating the Café as both a business and ministry. You'll be responsible to cultivate an irresistible environment for all members by providing exceptional coffee, pastries, and service. This role operates under the leadership of the Executive Team and is responsible for the following duties:

Achieve mastery of all Oasis Café coffee, espresso, and tea offerings, including techniques, training methods, origins, recipes, and drink abbreviations.
Recruit, retain, train, and reward volunteers to ensure a higher standard of customer service.
Responsible to purchase, order, receive, and stock the café with approved coffee, food, drinks, equipment, and supplies.
Assess and maintain a standard of excellence with each guest interaction.
Ensure adherence to all health code rules and recommendations.
Responsible for assisting other ministry with their food & beverage needs/shopping.
Responsible for providing accounting with accurate inventory counts and financial reports.
Required to open and close the café during operating hours.
Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

2-3 years' experience in servicing customers (restaurant or coffeehouse experience preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent; two years college preferred.
Ability to read and interpret spreadsheets.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, train and reward volunteers.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends.
SERV Safe Certification and/or Food Handlers Permit.
