Box Office Associate

The Art House, Provincetown’s premier venue for performing arts, is looking for friendly, organized, and enthusiastic Box Office Associates for our exciting 2024 summer season! This position is perfect for individuals passionate about arts and culture, and who thrive in dynamic, customer-focused environments. Responsibilities:

• Handle daily box office operations, including ticket sales and customer inquiries, both in person and over the phone.
• Process payments and manage ticketing software with accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting patrons with seating selections, ticketing issues, and general inquiries.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the season’s events, pricing structures, and promotions.
• Support the marketing team with promotional efforts as needed.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the box office area.
• Coordinate with venue staff to ensure smooth operation during events.
• Compile and report daily sales statistics and customer feedback to management.
• If necessary, Reorganizing seats to ensure max capacity.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; further education or experience in customer service, hospitality, or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact positively with a wide range of personalities.
• Proficiency in basic computer operations; previous experience with ticketing systems is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion for the arts, particularly theater, is highly desirable.
