BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a Full-time Audit and Accounting Specialist– Mid-Level – TS/SCI Poly – Bethesda, MD. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

What will you do

As an Auditing and Accounting Specialist, you will be knowledgeable in financial management practices, accounting laws and regulations, and process improvement. In this role, you will assist in the development of IC-specific directives, standards, and guidance to formalize solutions as best practices. You will also help evaluate, modify, write, and publish policies, legislations, or audit standards governing financial management requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provides support and direction related to business intelligence
  
• Provides information regarding the technology-driven process for analyzing data and delivering actionable information
  
• Demonstrates knowledge of data analytics tools and applications
  
• Assists in advising management on issues, impacts, risks, and options
  
• Helps implement policies and procedures.
  

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance
  
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Federal financial statement auditing, internal controls compliance, and/or Federal financial statement preparation and analysis
  
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with the Federal Government
  

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in business, accounting, or finance
  
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance and CPA, CGFM, or CDFM
  
• 5-7 years of experience with the Intelligence Community (IC) and/or Federal Government, or private sector
