Job Description

Medical Assistant or Medical Admin needed, in a hybrid position that requires travelling to several clinics a few days a week and working partially remote from home.

This is a full-time position Mon – Fri that offers:

Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid holidays, accrued vacation hours, and paid sick time. Fuel Reimbursement

 

Position summary

Reports to Supervisor. Responsible for maintaining day to day operations of in office dispensing programs in assigned offices, including but not limited to compliance, record management, inventory control and billing. Submits record of office visits for accountability and record keeping. Provides ongoing communication and outreach Supervisor AND ACCOUNT STAFF to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Preferred Skills

Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and activities while remaining highly organized. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Requires basic mathematical skills.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and completes set up and staff training for all new accounts
  • Assist in coordinating new account openings
  • Completes periodic office visits at existing accounts. Ensures record keeping, inspection documents, licensing, inventory control and billing are in accordance with applicable compliance regulations and policies.
  • Communicates regularly with BDM on account status
  • Works with BDM to convey changes in licensing, regulations and inspections to account staff expediently
  • Covers technician staffing as necessary
  • Works with BDM to ensure licensing is current and posted as applicable
  • Obtains missing information necessary for billing from EMR, account staff, attorneys and/or technicians as applicable
  • Monitors inventory to ensure adequate stock; helps to ensure compliance with required documents and record keeping for all controlled substances, including Schedule CII
  • Completes monthly checks for expired medications; does required paperwork and returns in a timely manner
  • Requires driving to account locations as well as some remote work
  • Responds to all communications in a prompt and professional manner
  • Submits expense reports in a timely manner
  • Submits weekly packet with records of office visits (remote and on site)
  • Assists with IT issue for accounts when needed
  • Maintains adequate supplies for home office and account back up
  • Completes additional duties and projects as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged, extensive driving, sitting, standing, walking, bending and push/pulling required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Repetitive hand motion, hearing and visual acuity to perform tasks.
