About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Broadband Grants & Initiatives Director to join our team. This position involves developing and executing Ripple Fiber’s grant strategy and securing funding from federal and state programs to support fiber optic infrastructure projects and related initiatives. This position will work closely with the VP of Data Analytics and Government Affairs team to assess new project areas, engage communities and municipalities, draft and submit proposals, and keep the Ripple Fiber executive team informed.  

Responsibilities:

• Work with Public Affairs VP to develop and implement Ripple Fiber’s overall grant strategy.
• Identify and assess available federal and state grant programs to support fiber optic infrastructure projects and other related initiatives.
• Collaborate with the executive team to identify project areas for grant proposals and determine proposal components.
• Coordinate with muti-departmental staff on the creation and/or collection of elements required for proposal submission.
• Work with Government Affairs team to engage communities and municipalities to determine partnership opportunities related to fiber broadband deployment and network management.
• Draft and submit grant proposals for federal and state initiatives, with a focus on the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program and other grant funded programs and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on the status of grant applications and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
• Advise the company President and Ripple Fiber executive team on grant-related issues and provide financial input on the pursuit and prioritization of grants.
• Identify, track, and respond to compliance requirements.
• Attend relevant industry events and conferences to maintain a strong understanding of current grant programs and initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in grant proposal coordination and submissions.
• Significant experience in grant response management, including coordinating and tracking of proposal requirements such as, Costing, Design, Construction, and other grant program requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
