Leffler Consulting is seeking an experienced Payload Antenna and Electronics Engineer to support an Intelligence Community client in Washington, DC. Key areas of focus include antenna design trades, performance predictions and/or evaluations, system impact evaluations, hardware assembly and test, and antenna subsystem integration. The successful candidate will be experienced in assessing the feasibility of new antennas and feed electronics designs, antenna and feed electronics manufacturing, and launch and flight operations of space vehicles. An active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly is required.

An active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly is required.
Duties:
- Provide expert advice and coordination concerning antenna and associated electronics development
- Assess the feasibility of new antennas and antenna functionality elements
- Review antenna manufacturing specifications for accuracy and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- Develop antenna models for performance evaluations and predictions
- Review and coordinate changes to specifications, ICDs, and system-level requirements documentation for spacecraft
- Track development issues and attend unit, subsystem, and system-level design reviews
- Identify and assess emerging risks and develop and evaluate proposed burn-down plans
- Review the developers readiness to proceed into spacecraft test at various levels of assembly
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
- A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of payload digital hardware development and test
- Experience in DoD IC acquisition and program management processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to deliver results
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to be effective on a government/contractor team
- Highly organized with the ability to plan, track, and maintain due dates for multiple taskers and products central to customer acquisition processes.
