JOB SUMMARY

WorkSource is staffing for an extremely busy Fabrication and Machine Shop looking forMachine Shop Assistants. The ideal candidate would have 1-2yearsexperiencein a machine shop environment. They would be familiar with deburring parts, chasing threaded holes, hand-working machine surfaces, assisting machinists with setups and using machine shop tooling equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITES

Help skilled Machinists set up very large workpieces
Assist Machinists withtooling
Tooling inventory
Honing bore diameters tosize
Reaming holes
Operating Bridgeport / manual lathe (training provided)
Operate Drill Press

REQUIREDSKILLS AND ABILITES:

Able to readblueprints
Able to use a Forklift. Ability to use overhead crane preferred, notrequired
