We're partnering with a well-established industrial machining and equipment repair company in Lakeland that is looking to add an experienced Manual Machinist to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys hands-on, custom work and takes pride in repairing and fabricating precision industrial components in a true machine shop environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up and operate manual engine lathes and Bridgeport-style milling machines
• Machine, repair, modify, and restore industrial equipment components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Perform drilling, milling, boring, threading, keyway cutting, and other machining operations
• Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, dial bore gauges, calipers, and indicators
• Machine a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials required for each project
• Operate shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, hydraulic presses, and other machine shop tools
• Safely move materials and components using forklifts and material handling equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures
• Assist with additional shop duties and projects as needed

Who We're Looking For

• Previous hands-on Manual Machinist experience required
• Strong experience operating manual engine lathes
• Experience with manual milling machines, including Bridgeport-style mills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments, especially micrometers and dial bore gauges
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experience machining large industrial components is preferred
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or CDL experience is beneficial but not required
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards

What You Can Expect

• $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Weekly pay
• Opportunity for permanent hire with excellent benefits
• Company-paid portion of health insurance for employees and families
• 10 paid holidays
• 1 week PTO after 6 months
• 2 weeks PTO after 1 year
• 3 weeks PTO after 5 years
