Quality Control Technician

PrideNow is hiring for a Quality Control Technician for one of their major food clients in Secaucus, NJ. It is a 1st shift, full time position with possible OT.

Summary:

The Quality Control Technician will ensure the quality of raw materials, in process products and finished goods. Perform required quality tests for raw materials and finished products while recording accurate data in a timely manner. Maintain, organize, and schedule raw material samples for testing and conduct appropriate evaluations. Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.

• Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Daily duties include the inspection of raw materials, monitoring production processes and the evaluation of finished products.
• Ensure that testing equipment is accurately calibrated and functioning properly.
• Monitor product weight, codes, labelling, and perform quality control checks and record data.
• Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.

Educational requirements:

• The preferred candidate will possess a high school diploma or two-year degree in chemistry/biology plus two years of related manufacturing quality control experience.
• Knowledge of quality control testing procedures, computer skills and Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is a plus.
• Flexible availability; to work night and weekend shifts (when applicable)
