School - based Counselor or Social Worker

River Therapies is a private therapy company located in the Fox Chapel community of Pennsylvania. We specialize in outpatient, early intervention, and school-based therapy services. Our mission is to serve God, by helping children surpass what others said they would never achieve. We are seeking a Mental Health Professional to join our team. Your role will be to provide quality therapeutic services in a school district in Allegheny County for at least the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. As a member of the school team, you will work with school staff and administration, as well as families, for the betterment of each student What You Will Do: provide daily support services (individual and group sessions) to students identified as requiring school-based mental health services follow the school district’s daily and yearly calendar for times of employment complete daily documentation maintain communication with staff and families regular meetings with administration staff to discuss caseloads, answer questions, and promote overall employment success maintain a weekly schedule promote a safe and welcoming environment for students What You Will Bring: Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant school-based experience and the following credentials/skills: College degree in a mental health field of study (social work, counseling, etc) excellent communication skills professional and positive work ethic desire to work in a school-based setting passion for helping students succeed in their academic goals by promoting wellness and positive mental health clearances are required Why You'll Love Us: With this being our 24th year of business, River Therapies brings a wealth of growth and passion to the therapy aspect of the greater Pittsburgh area.
