Home builder and developer looking for a Bilingual Accounting Clerk who will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring vendor invoices/bills are processed and expenses are controlled by receiving vendor invoices, processing, verifying, and reconciling vendor statements according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide accounting support and all other duties as assigned.
- Work directly with desktop version of QuickBooks.
- Respond to all vendors inquiries via phone or email as well as maintain internal and external relationships with vendors and employees and assist them in solving AP/AR issues.
- Perform general office duties including answering the phone, managing incoming/outgoing mail and correspondence.
- File, maintain and distribute accounting documents, records and reports.
- Prepare contract and lien waivers
- Review all vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and routing for approval before payment is processed.
- Input vendor invoices to include accurate posting to correct account and expensed to correct job.
- Ensure all vendor payable files are stored and scanned into appropriate files.
- Vendor statement reconciliations.
- Entering corporate American Express charges into accounting software, ensuring expenses are coded to correct job and account.
- Request, file and ensure accurate input of vendor W9 forms and insurance certificates.
- Maintain accurate and complete back up for all processed payment.
- Ensure payments are distributed internally or mailed accordingly.
- Assist in end of month closing processes.
- Prepare invoices for clients.
- Monitor invoicing and money collection processes.
- Maintain proper filing of invoices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Proficient in desktop QuickBooks, required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting including receipt of invoices, expensing to correct accounts, and routing for approval.
- Knowledge of construction industry, preferred.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
- Strong analytical and administrative skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to multi-task and prioritize.

- Excellent data entry skills.
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.
