Bartender

Cafe Mado is seeking an experienced, passionate, and professional Bartender to join our team!

Redwood Hospitality is seeking a Bartender to join the team at their newest venture, Cafe Mado (opening mid-May). Cafe Mado will be the third project from Michelin-starred Redwood Hospitality, after Oxalis, Place des Fêtes and Laurel Bakery. Cafe Mado is a daytime cafe located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and will serve a seated lunch in the back room and backyard, with coffee, Laurel Bakery pastries, breakfast items and pre-prepared foods offered in the front room of the restaurant.

Cafe Mado is looking for individuals who create genuine connections with their guests and who pride themselves on the ability to curate a memorable experience. Experience in an elevated craft cocktail setting and ability to build drinks while providing a high level of hospitality is required and knowledge of both small-batch/artisanal spirits and low-intervention wine is a must. Service will include lunch as well as early dinner service. This role is for the opening team of the restaurant and will be involved in honing in our SOPs and getting the space ready for the public.

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

• 2+ years bartending experience in NYC or another major city
• Knowledge of local, artisanal and small-batch spirits as well as low intervention wine
• Knowledge of Toast POS
• Full-time availability
• A genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to create stellar guest experiences
• Strong work ethic and a team-player attitude
• Experience on the opening team of a restaurant is a plus
• Barista experience is a plus
