Spirited, lively, and a bit bohemian, Wildhawk is brought to life by its cast of characters, who embrace the art of hospitality as much as the art of making a fine cocktail. The menu features cheeky cocktails with personality, including a range of vermouth-inspired cocktails, plus beer, wine, and bar snacks to accompany your libations.

Purpose of the role:

To prepare and serve mixed beverages for bar guests.

Responsibilities:

  • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the General Manager/Bar Manager when necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • To extend a courteous, friendly, and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.
  • To make the General Manager/ Bar Manager aware of all guest comments and complaints.
  • To be completely familiar with company beverage line and drink recipes.
  • To provide properly mixed cocktails and other beverages, as requested, to service staff and the public.
  • To use suggestive selling techniques to promote the sale of food and beverages.
  • To prepare charcuterie & cheese boards in a clean prep station, if server or barback isn’t present
  • Cleaning up food prep area when done working with food, as needed.
  • To help assist with washing, drying, and restocking glassware & dishes.
  • To understand or be willing to learn about classic & modern cocktails, spirits, house cocktails, produce, etc.
  • To check ID’s when no Security Guard on duty.
  • To check the cleanliness of the guest restrooms every hour
  • To help contribute to seasonal cocktail menu
  • To follow all specified procedures to properly open and close the bar, including handling bar keys, running POS reports, and performing all necessary side work.
  • To maintain adequate stock of beverages, supplies and clean glassware in accordance with established pars and routine procedures, and be responsible for the security of beverage stock while on duty.
  • To always maintain the organization of the bar areas, including emptying trash as needed.
  • To review and verify previous shift’s inventory, at the beginning of every shift.
  • To follow all specified procedures to correctly handle cash, including signing paid-out sheet for tips received, maintaining adequate cash amount in bank, giving correct change for cash transactions, ringing all drinks through the POS system, and accurately processing credit card vouchers.
  • To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment, handling both to minimize breakage.
  • To represent and market the bar in a positive and professional manner as requested and continually promote the internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships both on and off property.
  • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role and display basic knowledge of foods and beverages, service standards and procedures.
  • English fluency required.
  • Must have current Food Handler Certificate and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate that reviews all California liquor laws.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and efficient.
  • Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

Working Conditions:

Works indoors mainly in adequately lighted restaurant area. Work areas may be crowded or noisy. Bar floors may be uneven and may be slippery.

Physical Demands:

Stands and walks short distances throughout shift. Bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and lifts to perform routine tasks. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over short distances. Frequent use of stairs, daily.


Our ideal candidate Must know the fundamentals of beverage mixing, inventory and pars, glass types ad uses, and drink recipe knowledge. Additionally they must be familiar with Aloha computer system with good basic math skills. May be required to work weekends and late nights.
