A Day In The Life Of Our CEO:
- Develop and execute business, financial, operational, and regulatory strategies that align with the company's vision and fundraising plans.
- Lead all company functions which include employees and contractors responsible for product development, hardware and software engineering, finance, accounting, human resources, regulatory compliance, marketing, sales, and vendor managerment.
- Lead the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Ensure the preparation of projected financial statements and due diligence documents for use with existing and future investors.
- Manage budgets and redirect resources and plans as needed according to business performance.
- Evaluate capital allocation strategies and optimize financial resources to align with the company's strategic advantages and priorities.
- Monitor key financial metrics to track performance.
- Manage the company's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Evaluate and implement financing instruments that will permit the manufacture and lease of complex medical devices by the company’s customers.
- Lead the impending Series A Capital Raise by identifying and collaborating with appropriate venture capitalists and investment groups. Lead all activities that result in a successful closing no later than March 30, 2025.
- Facilitate the due diligence process and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders.
- Build and mentor a U.S-based cross-functional team of on-site and remote employees.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors on all major business decisions, investor relations, and strategic communications.
- Collaborate with the co-founder and regulatory consultants to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and requirements.
- Provide insightful business advice and guidance to the co-founders and other company leaders and employees.
- Create a performance-based company that establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and manages to them.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency and honesty.
- Lead by example and set high ethical standards.
- Proactively communicate with all parties above, below, and beside you so that all employees, shareholders, vendors, and customers experience the care and diligence with which Applikate operates.
About Us:
Applikate values senior leaders who will handle a variety of challenges by leveraging a strong educational background and extensive experience in the design, development, marketing, sales, and distribution of complex biomedical devices for current and future markets (non-clinical and clinical, respectively).
About You:
- A minimum of 20 years of progressive business leadership experience in the health or medical device industry where FDA compliance has been required.
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth.
- Demonstrated success in leading a commercial organization through growth stages.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high performing, PhD/MD level employees and vendors.
- Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally, including with stakeholders across legal, clinical, regulatory, commercial, product, engineering and marketing disciplines.
- Proven experience in successfully guiding a company through private and public financing processes.
- Experience in shepherding a company through the M&A process.
- Strong knowledge of business management (MBA preferred)
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, make decisions, solve problems, and operate under pressure with a limited runaway.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent master’s degree is strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to deliver creative solutions that balance performance, practical constraints, and costs.
· Experience in the regulated medical device industry.
· U.S. citizenship, U.S, permanent residency, or a valid U.S. work visa.
· Must commute periodically to the Fairfield Connecticut office, relocation assistance not provided.
· Hybrid work permitted.
