Job Overview
C10 Labs is looking to add a Machine Learning Engineer to our growing team. This person will have a strong background in machine learning algorithms, data analysis, and software development and enjoy rapid prototyping and launching code. You will play a pivotal role in defining how we design, implement, and deploy machine learning models. You will work closely with our portfolio companies to solve complex problems in the AI space while also executing on bold ideas from C10. You enjoy the autonomy of  taking ideas from inception to execution and are excited to work across a  variety of  products and industries in the AI space.

What you will do:
  • Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models to address specific business needs and challenges for portfolio companies 
  • Collect, preprocess, and clean data from various sources to ensure the utmost data quality and suitability for modeling purposes.
  • Identify relevant features and perform feature engineering to enhance model performance and predictive accuracy.
  • Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques, and iterate on models to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Deploy machine learning models into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Monitor model performance in production, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements or updates as needed.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies, and explore innovative approaches to solving business problems

Who you are:

  • Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematics and DS methodologies.
  • Experience in building distributed pipeline, tuning, optimizing and evaluation.
  • Experience with retrieval augmented generation (RAG) or finetuning large language models
  • Experience with multiple techniques that include Predictive Models (Time Series and Regression), Linear Programming, and Classification, Search, Ranking or large-scale embeddings.
  • Experience with serving AI models via cloud (AWS / CGP or similar)
  • Experience building from scratch either within a startup environment or as part of a new initiative/ product, taking ideas from inception to execution 
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • An advanced degree (M.S., PhD, or equivalent experience) in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or related field
