Summary:

Under direct supervision will be responsible for cleaning and inspecting aluminum/steel enclosures and sub-assemblies. Act as quality control inspector to ensure that they are free of burrs and imperfections before moving to the next stage of fabrication. Perform all duties as assigned and assist department supervisor on all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

• Serve as quality control: cut, clean, prep, inspect, and identify imperfections and defects
• Have the ability to operate small fabrication machines; grinders, sanders, table saw, hand help polisher, band- saw, drill press, and power shear • Assist with maintaining tools and equipment
• Perform general cleanup around shop
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• 0-2 years' experience in various forms of machine operation
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Knowledge:

• Ability to read mechanical blueprints
• Knowledge of basic unit or measures and the ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Knowledge of working properties of metal and fabricating process, such as warping, bending, and squareness

Physical Demands:

• Hand, eye, and manual dexterity
• Required to stand for long periods of time, reach, lift, bend and lift 35lbs

Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person's qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.
