Licensed Counselor 10-7p & one weekend a month

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Pay ranges: Assoc Licensed: 55-63,000 plus supervision.

Pay ranges Licensed: 65-70,000

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

1. Performs psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning.

2. Provides counseling/therapy to individuals served requiring complex intervention.

3. Performs commitment determinations and/or execute orders of involuntary commitments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.

2. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.

3. Serves as project or team leader.

4. Acts as advocate for individual served in order to coordinate required services or to resolve crisis.

5. Counsel individuals served in individual and group sessions to help them overcome dependencies, recover from illness, and adjust to life.

6. Identify environmental impediments to individuals served of their progress through interviews and review of individual’s records.

7. Monitors, evaluates, and records individual’s progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan.

8. Organizes support groups or counsel family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting the individuals served.

9. Performs clinical assessments of the behavioral health needs of individuals presenting for services.

10. Provides case management services related to identified treatment needs.

11. Provides training to direct care employees in implementing behavior modification techniques and treatment plans.

12. Refers individual served or family to community resources to assist in recovery from mental or physical illness and to provide access to serves such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, job placement or education.

13. Designs behavioral or therapeutic interventions for intractable or difficult to manage individuals.

14. Determines the necessity for commitment in accordance with accepted standards of clinical practice.

15. Conducts psychosocial assessments/evaluations to develop comprehensive case/services plans.

16. Monitors provision of services e.g. authorizations, level of care, treatment plan reviews/signatures, discharge summary, etc.

17. Manage caseload and complete discharges in a timely manner when necessary.

18. Provides information to employees via email or other written form on-going.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EXPECTATIONS REGARDING QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF WORK:

1. Meets or exceeds all quality indicators set forth by supervisors and agency management.

2. Meets all program sire and agency goals in the area of quantity of work.

3. Provides a safe therapeutic environment that honors choice and recognizes individual strengths, needs, desires, and preferences.

4. All documentation must be complete/signed within 24 hours of service delivery.

5. Provide collaborative documentation at least 90% of the time.

6. Provide a Canceled by Therapist (CBT) rate that is less than or equal to 3%.

7. Follows and ensures that supervisees follow all policies and procedures regarding utilization of PTO.

8. Attends work schedule as assigned.

9. Follows all policies and procedures regarding dress code.

10. Follows all policies and procedures regarding professional conduct and ethics.

11. Complete all required annual/bi-annual trainings as required through DBHDD and CARF.

12. Maintain Georgia licensure.

13. Adhere to the Performance Incentive plan’s expectations as set by leadership in both quantity and quality of service delivery.

14. Will maintain an 85% overall chart score for all charts under primary staff relationship during an internal audit.

15. Will maintain an 85% overall clinician score when being reviewed in an internal audit.

Salary: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
