Fiber Designer

Contract to hire

Roussey LTD is seeking experienced and entry level CAD Drafter/Designers. Candidates with experience using Bentley MicroStation/AutoCAD are preferred. Prior telecommunications industry experience is a plus. This job will involve updating as-builts jobs, design of draft fiber routes over existing and new build fiber cables, creating fiber splice documents, using Bentley/AutoCAD, Excel, among other software.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and/or design drawings in customer specified format, Bentley MicroStation/AutoCAD. Format from preliminary design drawings and/or field notes.
• Update/create Microsoft Excel documents.
• Translate field notes, verbal and written information into Bentley MicroStation/AutoCAD drawings and designs.
• Organize the layout of plans, details, and units on the Bentley MicroStation/AutoCAD drawings.
• Ensure all drawings and designs are formatted to company standards and customer specifications.
• Develop and maintain strong positive relationship with employees and clients.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Bentley MicroStation/AutoCAD is preferred.
• Candidates with previous experience in Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD or SpatialNET is a plus.
• Must be proficient in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Office application (emphasis Excel).
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Able to effectively handle multiply priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organization, oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work alone or with a team.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
