Job Title: Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. The Unarmed Security Guard will be required to patrol and monitor the assigned area, operate X-ray and Metal Detection equipment, monitor surveillance cameras, inspect property, and monitor crowds. The candidate will also be responsible for investigating reports of suspicious activity on the property, reasonably detaining persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives, and escorting discharged staff, trespassers, and visitors off the premises.

Responsibilities:

- Patrol and monitor an assigned area to ensure the safety and security of the premises, assets, and personnel.

- Operate X-ray and Metal Detection equipment to screen visitors and their belongings.

- Monitor surveillance cameras, inspect the property, and monitor crowds to detect and prevent criminal activity.

- Contact law enforcement or the fire department in case of an emergency.

- Check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure after business hours.

- Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property and report to the appropriate authorities.

- Reasonably detain persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.

- Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and visitors off the premises.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience is a plus, but not required.

- Ability to operate X-ray and Metal Detection equipment.

- Knowledge of surveillance systems and procedures.

- Ability to detect and prevent criminal activity.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to adjust to changing circumstances.

- Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.

- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

- Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time.
