CDL Class B Bus Driver - Passenger (P) - School Bus (S) Endorsements

Bus Driver/Porter w/ CDL Class B needed:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Pickup and drop-off grade school aged program participants in a safe manner from designated stops to the center and back. General maintenance and custodial duties while not driving.

LOCATION:
Upper Manhattan

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pickup and drop-off grade school aged program participants
• Keep vehicle clean and in good operating condition
• Inspect vehicle daily and report any operational or structural defects immediately to Director of Facilities
• Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of vehicle (gas, oil, tire changes)
• Pick up and return vehicle to parking lot
• General maintenance and custodial duties

REQUIREMENTS:

• Commercial Driver’s License (CLD) Class B
• Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Endorsements
• Able to be certified under NY Vehicle and Traffic Law Article 19-A
• Must be willing to perform porter duties while not driving

SCHEDULE:

• Full-time; 8-hour work day; 40-hour work week
• Monday through Friday

COMPENSATION:

• $52,000 per year; paid at $25 per hour
• $2,000 signing bonus; after completion of 90 days of employment
• Eligible for salary increases under the collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
