Health Educator I
- $30 Hourly
- Full-Time
The Health Educator develops, implements, and assesses patient education programs both within the NEVHC clinical sites and in the community at large.
Reports to: Program Manager, Health Education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Education or related field.
- One-year previous experience in maternal and child health required for positions within the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP). One-year experience in chronic disease conditions such as Diabetes and/or Hypertension.
- Must maintain a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification, in compliance with corporate CPR Policy.
- Fluency in English (speaks, read and write).
- Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translate, read and write).
- Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier.
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to present in front of a group. Must be able to relate to a variety of individuals from all walks of life, including from ethnically, gender, sexual orientation and age, diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- The MIS Patient Information System access level is 2.
