Job Description
Russell Tobin is hiring a Sales Tax Analyst for one of our clients in Memphis, TN. It's a short-term assignment for about a month.
Once trained you probably won't need to be in the office every day, but you will need to be in the office Tuesdays and other days as needed.
Pay range: $35-39/hr.
Shift: 8am to 5pm, M-F

Job Description:
Ensures compliance with sales/use tax laws through the preparation and review of state and local sales/use tax returns, preparation of new license applications, and the preparation and tracking of renewals and other returns required by state and local jurisdictions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares sales/use, business license, and other indirect tax returns.
- Tracks returns and payments to ensure due dates are met by filing and paying timely.
- Prepares account reconciliations and payment requests.
- Gathers necessary documentation from internal resources to complete applications and returns. Assists with indirect tax audits.
- Performs tax research including licensing requirements, tax rates, etc.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 2 years experience in sales and use taxes or business licenses preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Ability to work effectively with a team as well as independently
