Summary
Suncare Childcare is looking to expand the quality care we offer to children and families in our community. We are currently accepting applications for an experienced teacher who is able to move throughout all rooms in a Floater support position ( Infant to PreK). We support professionals willing and excited to further this important work by encouraging children's healthy growth and development through a foundation of connection and learning. You will teach, interact, play and learn with them while also motivating them to use their own gifts and abilities to have fun while "Learning Through Play". You will work closely with all lead teachers to support them throughout the day. Our goal is shift this position to a lead teacher position in the future. Suncare Childcare is a 3 Star Quality First Program with a focus on supporting children and families within our community.

Duties
- Follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching materials.
- Provide basic caregiving activities essential to the age group you are working with.
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities.
- Support lead teachers to evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning path.
- Confident and comfortable communicating with parents and updating them on the progress of their children.
- Collaborate with other colleagues.
- Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the center and licensing bodies.
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy classroom environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a childcare / daycare teacher in a childcare setting.
- Reliable transportation to/from work site.
- Proficient knowledge of child development and educational/teaching methods.
- Patience, flexibility and genuine care for children’s developmental needs.
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (prior to starting position)
- Negative TB test (within the last 6 months).
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate in first aid and CPR ( will be required during employment).
- Willingness/ability to work a variety of shifts.
- Flexibility to work with a variety of age groups.
