Job Description

Veris Manufacturing (an Emerald Technologies company) has an exciting opportunity for a QC Inspector 3 to join its Brea, CA team! The QC Inspector's core function is to perform perform visual, electrical and dimensional inspection of printed circuit board assemblies. Importantly, the QC Inspector 3 must know how to read values for SMT components in order to perform the 1st article using a microscope for the inspection with components small size 0402.

Responsibilities of the QC Inspector 3:

Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain information such as specified material, electrical, cosmetic requirements, and workmanship instructions, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
Perform inspection on electrical or electronic components by using electrical meters.
Use precision measuring instruments such as smart tweezers and calipers and pin gauges to determine adherence to electrical and dimensional specifications on first articles, in-process inspections, and production runs.
Input data into Statistical Process Control (SPC) data base and evaluate.
Perform and record results of first article inspections of boards after SMT.
Verify completeness of documentation as required per work order traveler and internal procedures.
Use computer to review various types of documents and navigate within internal system.

Qualifications of the QC Inspector 3:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years of related inspection experience in electronics manufacturing.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications and PCB gerbers.
Skilled in electrically measuring resistors and capacitors.
Ability to operate AOI equipment is desirable.
Expertise in reading component values by inspecting parts.
Knowledge of various computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe).
