Veterinary Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. This position will start as a part-time position that will potentially turn to full-time. As a Lab Technician will be working in the lab of a large 45+ doctor mixed animal Hospital and Emergency center : Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians by examining/performing various test in an efficent and timely manor. Responsibilities:

- Blood work including CBCs with differentials, chemistry testing, endocrinology, and serology

-Urinalysis including reading sediment

-Various forms of fecal testing -mainly large animal

- Limited microbiology

- Processing lab paperwork

- Preparing shipments to outside laboratories

- Making reagents

- Analyzing tests for the DEP water lab

- Quality control and Quality assurance work

- Regular (weekly and monthly maintenance) on instruments

- Stocking lab supplies

- Other duties as required

Qualifications:

- Certified Veterinary Technician or student in an accredited Veterinary technician program (required)

- Previous experience in the Veterinary industry (preferred)
